About Me

Hello!

I am a Junior Broadcast Journalism major at Howard University from Boise, Idaho by way of Liberia. Communication and the love for storytelling are passions I aspire to continue leveraging connections between. I believe shared experiences are what connects people most, which is what truly calls to me.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have curated critical skills such as remaining teachable, proactive, and a team worker. I have experience in community project organizing, providing customer service in hospitality, and social media marketing/content creation. I have gained these abilities through work experience and leadership roles within my extracurricular activities. These skills have equipped me with the expertise to adapt quickly in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

I authentically value activism and giving back to my community. As a previous Co-Organizer for the Boise Juneteenth Community Celebration in my hometown Idaho, a predominantly white state, I believe it’s important to advocate and make space for individuals from underrepresented backgrounds.

I am exceedingly interested in working within the Sports & Entertainment field as well as the Tech Industry when it comes to the business side of a corporation. Starting June to August 2024, I will be working with the Los Angeles Lakers as a Rotational Intern through the NBA x HBCU Fellowship Program. I am eager to continue diving into both career paths, learning multiple objectives, and carrying that knowledge with me into the future.
